DO NOT CROSS MEEQAT WITHOUT IHRAM
When you are going to Makkah for Hajj or Umrah, it is mandatory to enter into state of Ihram before crossing Meeqat boundary.

• If you are going from Medina: Pprepare for Ihram of Hajj in your Hotel room in Madina.
• Then you can enter into state of Ihram from your Hotel room or Masjid-e-Nabwi or Masjid-e-Meqaat (also called Masjid Zulhalifa)

• • If you are already in Makkah: Then Prepare for Ihram of Hajj from Hotel room at Makkah.
  • Best practice: Go to Masjid-e-Haram to enter into state of Iharam

• Perform 2 rakaats of Ihraam, with the head and shoulders covered.
• Recommendation: In the first rakkat recite Surah Al-Kafiroon’ and in 2nd rakaat Surah Al-Ikhlas. (Mustahab)
• Male should remove their head cover to enter into State-of-Ihram and should now should not cover head until Free from ihram.
• Make intention for Hajj.

• • At this point your are still NOT in state of Ihram. But you are ready to ENTER in it.
